From what I've seen, the Bahco looks like it would get the job done.

I got interested in the Sawvivor, but think they have gone out of business.

Sawvivor used to be made in Avon. They have stopped making them. I managed to score one at GM for $10 a few years back. They were normally $30. I with I had bought more than one. It's an awesome setup.

Bahco 396-LAP Laplander

Dustrude Quick Buck Saw This is a very nice saw but maybe a little big to carry and take a few extra minutes to put together but if your looking for something that can cut bigger trees thiis would be a thumbs up on it..

Silky Big Boy..on like the Bob Dustude quick buck saw this one folds and this would be another great saw if your looking for one that has a bigger bite to cut those bigger limbs and fits inside your backpack this would be my other choice of saws..

Silky Pocketboy..now if your looking for something smaller here is another excellent saw of choice....And would also like to own one of these myself..

Your Very Welcome,when I seen your post I could not help myself and just had to see what I could find out on the saws for you,when I seen the Silky saws I said to my self that is a saw I will have to invest in one some day down the road...

By the way that idiot on ebay has to be out of his ****ing mind to think that some one would pay that much for a saw but then again some people are just plain stupid and do not do any research on Google to find them cheaper,that basically the same saw I just posted for you for a lot less then what he had..

Sven makes a 15" that weighs in at 15 ounces

i used one on a canoe trip that my buddy bought. it worked awesome, i was very impressed.
though you really can't use the last bit of blade because of the angle for very long in the process so don't be turned on by the 15" length being longer, you know what i mean.

it was perfect for this use, though i agree that it's a little big for a BOB it would be worth caching somewhere or maybe your sustainment (I.N.C.H.) load.

The Silky Gomboy $ 40.00 for Camping/Hiking/BoB, and Silky KatanaBoy @ $100.00 for Home/Truck use! That KatanaBoy would kick ass in a situation where you couldn't get access to gas/power saws!

I know tell me about it..... I am taking a look at the Silky offerings myself! I use a bow saw camping and want a step up because its just not cutting it.
