Tomorrow’s day 5 for me. I’ll probably put in some time working from home and I should be cleared to go back into the office on Tuesday. Symptoms are subsiding nicely but energy is still pretty low. There’s too many damn steps in this house. It’ll be nice to be able to get out of my room and hang out in the living room tomorrow so long as the kids go to school like it seems they will.

After you're feeling better ease back into more strenuous activities like running. I know things bothered my lungs for a couple weeks after then they were back to normal.

        Glad you're doing better.

I just heard about the stomach bug going around yesterday from someone else.

Yeah, it’ll be a slow rebuild. Just doing the stairs too many times right now has me winded/tired.

The stomach bug was rough. My oldest had it for 3 days. My youngest had it for 1. But that overlap was hell for a few hours.

Knock on wood I think we've managed to avoid the stomach bug that's been going around. Between church, daycare, and school, I'm amazed that it hasn't hit us.

The stomach bug went through my wife and 3 kids about 2 weeks ago. I skated by... until last Friday and bam!! Puking like crazy from 6pm til 2 am, and gone just as fast. Felt fine Saturday morning when I got up other than being drained and dehydrated.

Just notified that our oldest had a classmate test positive. No idea if the student tested positive with a PCR test or rapid test. They're recommending masking and testing in 5 days.

Trusting our kid's natural immunity means it won't be an issue for us.

I’m amazed both our boys have avoided it so far.

wife tested negative this morning so she’s vacated the bedroom and left me alone.

I’m bored out of my mind. I’ve watched so much YouTube and Netflix. I do have a project I have to jump on for work tomorrow, so that’ll be good, and I have Friday to go out trout fishing so long as my energy holds up. I need the fresh air.

I need to try some new spots, but I'm going to hit Springwater Creek. My dad really likes fishing it, and I'm still trying to figure out how to get him on some fish.

I got out fishing today. Holy hell this stuff has kicked my butt. This was the most exercise I’ve had in a month, and boy did I wind up winded on the walk back.

I got some fresh are, and saw something other than the walls of my bedroom, so I’ll take it. Plus I caught my biggest brown to date.

How long before you try to go for a run?

The wife skipped her run today and we’re both taking the day off from work tomorrow so I’ll be trying it tomorrow. Only looking at 1 or 2 miles this time around.

How did it feel? Your pace was slow, but your average HR was low. What was your peak HR?

Yeah I felt fine. Running with my wife, I could run all day. She usually runs about 4:00/mi slower than me so it was only a marginally good test. I survived, that’s about all I can say at this point. I’ll probably run again Sunday by myself to get a better feel.
