Looks like the same panel just unanimously approved a Pfizer booster jab for people 65 and older.

I'm going to get some popcorn popping so that I can fully enjoy the vaxx nazis trying to figure out whether grandma and grandpa should have to show proof of booster jab on their vaccine passports in order to participate in society.

I am particularly concerned about this last part, because I am a recycled teenager.

According to the Viva & Barnes podcast, the federal vaccine mandate is for the FDA approved vaccine, not the EUA vaccine. The FDA approved vaccine isn't available yet, because once it's available, the EUA for all Covid vaccines ends.

So members of the military are currently facing dishonorable discharge for refusing the EUA vaccine that they aren't required to take.

How big a difference there is between the EUA and FDA approved Pfizer vaccines is a hot point of debate. From a legal standpoint, they're totally different. Aside from legally required QC and transportation differences between EUA abs FDA approved, there's also liability differences. You cannot sue for damages caused by the EUA vaccine, but you can sue for damages from an FDA approved vaccine.

If everyone is being honest and Pfizer was acting to achieve the most profit, Pfizer would/should start producing the FDA approved Comirnaty vaccine ASAP and start making it available to the public. Doing so would cut Moderna and J&J out of the EUA vaccine money because the EUA ends as soon as an FDA approved vaccine is commonly available. This would also force the government to pay them big bucks for Comirnaty production because the existing stockpiles of the EUA vaccines would suddenly be worthless. (Or at least more worthless than they are now.) So why isn't Pfizer releasing Comirnaty? Is Pfizer operating in conjunction with the feds or the other vaccine producers to decide not to release Comirnaty yet? Either explanation would likely be legally problematic.

Or, is Pfizer not releasing Comirnaty because they don't want to deal with the liability issues that come with their FDA approved vaccine? This explanation is commercially damaging because everyone would want to know why Pfizer is so concerned about being sued for damages from a vaccine both they and the government have been promising is perfectly safe and effective.

Follow the money.......why would they want to submarine their heavy investment in all pharma by allowing only one to have a monopoly?

Pfizer is one of the most popular stocks in Congress, with 48 lawmakers placing their bet on the drugmaker that hikes its prices each year. Rep. Jim Sensenbrenner (R-Wis.), the second most senior congressman, reported holding between $1 million and $5 million in Pfizer stock. Forty-seven lawmakers reported investing in Johnson & Johnson, despite the drugmaker’s role in the devastating opioid epidemic.

On the campaign trail, Rep. Joe Kennedy III (D-Mass.) casts himself as a fighter who takes on big pharma. His disclosure shows he’s profited from rising drug prices. Last year, he reported owning up to $2.1 million in stock in pharmaceutical and health products companies in a family trust. Those include industry giants such as Johnson & Johnson, Merck, Abbott Laboratories, Eli Lilly & Co and Pfizer.

Rep. Greg Gianforte (R-Mont.), the wealthiest member of the House, reported investing $3.6 million in pharmaceutical companies. He was the top investor in several industry giants including AbbVie, the Humira manufacturer that successfully killed generic competition for nearly two decades and fought off regulation from Congress. Most lawmakers disclose their assets in a wide range, but Gianforte provides transparency by choosing to disclose the exact amount of money he invests in each asset. Gianforte recently purchased stock in companies that might benefit from the COVID-19 pandemic, including Roche Holding AG, which won emergency approval from the federal government to sell an automated COVID-19 test.
