  • USMC will be exercising his rights

So I have decided that in uncertain times you must exercise your rights to make sure you don't lose them.

I feel considering I will soon be out of isolation from covid and have natural immunity I'm in a great position to ensure fairness for all when it comes to being a person and enjoying life.

Feel free to post businesses here who only allow vaccinated patrons. If it's something I'd like to do I will try and go there. After all I have immunity from covid so there should be no reason to deny me service.

Has anyone encountered this at all? No idea how things will go in the future, but so far I haven't seen any businesses that are specifying vaccination status.

My guess is economics and practicality will dictate retail businesses won't try to enforce any vaccination rules. The lockdowns already have a huge number of businesses hurting, so they're not going to enact a policy that reduces their customer base. Aside from Walmart, he big corporations that love to virtue signal aren't the ones running retail locations. Plus, with the government paying people not to work, how many companies can afford the manpower or hassle of trying to verify customer vaccine status?

If you wanna make a list maybe you should start a new post with a title that people know what it’s for.

NYC starting next month I believe, but I doubt you want to go there.

My favorite little bar downtown Rochester has had a "vaccinated only and must show proof" rule since bars were allowed to reopen several months ago. The rational being that their space is too small to segregate vaxed/non-vaxed and that their patrons will feel better knowing that everybody in the place is vaxxd. Apparently it has actually increased their business (as most of their patrons are of the more liberal types). While I am not happy with this, I respect the owner's right to do with his business as he pleases. It's just like a "no firearms" sign, if I don't like it I won't patronize the business.

The aforementioned business aside, I can't imagine that businesses (especially restaurants/bars) just getting back on their feet are going to do anything to limit the customer base....I guess time will tell.

There is a more insidious game being played here: The Fed has now shifted the responsibility of enforcement for mask mandates/vax passports to the individual small business owner, thereby vilifying the little guy and shifting blame away from big daddy .gov. Think what you want but those progressives are brilliant when it comes to manipulating public opinion....we could learn a lot from their tactics (but we don't!).

If they tell me it's all political then I respect that and will leave them alone. If they say it's to protect their customers then game on. Also as Norm points out American disability act applies here.

Discrimination protections apply too. For example in NYS religious exemption does not apply to vaccine mandates BUT it does protect you when there is no state mandate and a business refuses you service.

All businesses I've found so far are in south wedge like the bar you speak of.

ETA: I don't want this to become normal where businesses deny service based on vaccination status because I truly feel it's wrong and illegal.

I've been unplugged and spending my time in freer regions for the past two+ weeks. Maybe my re-acclimation to life in New Yorkistan will be more dystopian than I'm expecting.

Yes there are ADA protections for this and also plain discrimination. Anyone that claims they do this to protect their employees will have to let me in with proof of recovery or else they are violating law regardless of ADA.

I think Norm Deguerre x2 mentioned the Viva and Barnes podcast to me a while back but I didn't actually add them to my podcast list. They are now officially in my podcast rotation and it looks like they're going to be a useful source of legal information on dealing with vaccine mandates.

                      https://vivabarnes.podbean.com/

This PJ article covers some of the basics.

                      https://pjmedia.com/columns/victoria...fired-n1468302

The five high level angles that they mention are:
                      • Challenges to the FDA
                      • Religious exemptions
                      • Nuremburg Code
                      • ADA
                      • Civil Rights Violations

Now we're getting somewhere! Smiley faces on forum and programmed in and the format of your keyboard and they way it uses smiley faces isn't same format which is why it would make question marks. That's common on websites which is why they have their own smiley faces like we do.
