Seem there may be some interest in automatically shutting off water in house when a leak is detected.
This is the actual unit that shuts off my water.

I found if you properly align everything I don't have any issues with it not being powerful enough as some have complained in reviews.
In order to get something like this to work you need a water detector that works with whatever zwave controller you use.
For example I have a lynx 7000 panel with z wave controller. I set up a scene that shuts off water. Then I created a rule that says if I get a water alarm run my flood scene which closes valve.
Now you can use other zwave controllers like smarthings for example instead of a lynx 7000 in my example.

Let me know if you guys have any questions.
