  • Slip floats/bobbers

Just ordered some for the kids fishing rigs. Anyone use this type of set up? Tips? I'm amazed that in all my years of fishing I only found out about this type of float/bobber a couple weeks ago.
I bought my sons out of state.

Noob fisherman here... I know what a bobber is but never heard of a slip float. What's that all about?

OK, just watched a youtube video on it. That's pretty cool. I actually have found a couple of these in the water. I find old kinds of bobbers and lures in the waters when kayaking. I have never paid for a bobber and only paid for about 1/4 of my lures.

Pretty sure the other side goes up when you have fish on line. I would use it like any other bobber....... Cast out and let it sit, wind in the slack and wait for the bites. I believe wisdom says wait for second bite. Enjoy!

I have used slip bobbers for years, for calicos on Black Lake and catfish in the rivers....they allow you to set your bait at any depth you like and still have a nice easy cast-able package.

Looks like a great way to rig things. Can't wait to try it out.

I bet I could not catch fish with that set up. PITA is giving me an award for 'No-Catch' fishing!
