  • Cast Iron camp cookware

Bought some cast iron cookware today. Got a couple frying pans and a griddle seasoning in the oven...

And some chili in the dutch oven on the stove. I bought an porcelin covered dutch oven because they didn't have the outdoor version in the size I wanted so figured I'd get the pretty one for the house. Testing it out now...

What chili is bad for you? All fresh ingredients. Lot's of protein.

I inherited my mom's Griswold #9 frying pan, it's got the "slant EPU" logo which dates it towards the late end of the 1897-1920 production. Pretty cool to be cooking with a pan that's 100 years old, I hope you get as many years out of your new ones.
Beer is like porn, you can buy it but it's more fun to make your own

I have to bend over too far

        I get a boner.

bareback every couple of days, GTG. Bareback, brokeback, same $hit!

I joined a support group to help me deal with my social anxiety but I just can't seem to work up the nerve to go to a meeting......

no way! IMO all the health problems are because people do not eat enough bacon !
If ISIS tried bacon maybe they would be a lot happier and they would not blow themselves up. ...you know...

Yea now that you mention it I can see the gritty side surface lol, make sure you use metal spatula in it to grind down surface smooth over time.

I'm sorry I couldn't disagree with the above more vehemently. Blowing themselves up is absolutely, 100% ok. The fact that they elect to do it around other innocent, unsuspecting victims is the problem.

By the way, we cook lots of meals every week in our cast iron cookware. Best meals by far.

We also have the Lodge skillets, griddles and Dutch oven. Great stuff.

I have lodge as well after seeing on "Modern Marvels" they are the only US based manufacturer left and showed how they pre-season all of them. They run through a conveyor hanging by the handle, coated with oil on all sides, and the conveyor runs through a massive oven, then it repeats once more. The show wasn't even about cast iron or metallurgy it was about uses of oils lol. But I never seasoned mine and nothing has stuck yet.
