I have a small collection of Griswold and have an Erie as well which I use, they are lighter then current ones as well and much smoother.

In the olden days they would machine surface smooth while today lodge doesn't do it to save a few bucks but it will smoothen out over time by using metal spatula.www.AvidArms.com I'm STIHL out of conditioner!!

Walmart sells the Lodge pans and griddles now too. The two burner griddle is only $36."I ask, Sir, what is dinner? It is the whole chicken. To pluck the chicken is the best and most effectual way to prepare them."

That is a NICE looking bunch of meat!

I can still find a use for my thumb, even though it no longer has a hole to finger.

I could have been enjoying his nuts.

There is a ton of info about use and care of them, comes down to once seasoned, it doesn't hurt to rinse them out in the sink and throw back on the burner to heat them enough to completely dry all the moisture. I still use bacon grease, others disagree with bacon grease, but to each there own, I use a small amount on a napkin or paper towel while still warm, start inside then the outside.
As USMC said get them warm to hot and food won't stick. Cleaning older used pans is almost an art in itself, if you need help cleaning one up, feel free to contact me, not an expert, but got a system down that works.I must say I love beavers.
