Does anyone know of a really tough tarp waterproof that can stand a beating w/o getting ripped or punctured?
IMO this is one of the most essential items as it can do so many things. Carry/backpack, shelter, water collection, etc...

I'd say canvas, but it has to be waxed, or waterproofed some other way. Of course it weighs a lot more than plastic.
