Probably a result of online sales, but in case you didn't know, EMS is closing a large chunk of their retail stores. I went yesterday and the place was already pretty cleaned out at max discount of 30%. The did have smartwool and darn tough socks at 10% off which is always helpful.

Really expensive stuff.
I got all pumped last summer because I found a couple Kuhl short sleeve button down shirts on a 50% off clearance rack outside my local EMS. They were marked $40, so I thought getting two for $40 was a good deal. I went to buy them and the total came to $80. Apparently $40 was the sale price. I left without any shirts.

I'm getting that impression. It's the same with the "clearance" racks at Gander Mountain. And it's not just Kuhl stuff. I keep looking at the prices of this stuff and thinking "Can enough people afford these prices to keep these stores in business?". Go figure then I find out Gander and EMS are having financial trouble.
Van Maur is a high end expensive retailer, but I can actually find things I can afford on their clearance racks.NRA Life Member

Are there currently laws that prevent you from buying direct from the manufacturer? I always figured car dealerships were a product of business models, not government regulation.NRA Life Member
