  • Combatives - fastest disarm

I've scene this before and its impressive but thinking about likely outcome for average citizen given mechanics involved and I'm not sure I'd attempt something like this.

Specifically (1) overhand grip turns barrel into your body/head not away from it (2) assuming finger is wrapped around trigger wouldn't strike to forearm cause pistol to be pulled away from hand and hooked trigger cause discharge (3) got to get it right first time or you'll likely be shot (4) assumes perp will hold gun outwards with one hand and body facing away (4) what if perp is left/right handed and you haven't trained for this.

    Thoughts?

I have practiced a similar technique hundreds of times in my martial arts class with two key differences: 1) step to the attacker's gun side as you grab the firearm so you are moving in the opposite direction that you are pushing the gun, and 2) the gun WILL go off. Given #2, you need to be cognizant of what is off in the distance behind you as you perform this technique. Great move when you are in a confined space with no bystanders around, not so great in the middle of the street. YMMV

Best solution is to be situationally aware and never get yourself in this type of situation in the first place.

Beer is like porn, you can buy it but it's more fun to make your own

I have to bend over too far

    I get a boner.

bareback every couple of days, GTG. Bareback, brokeback, same $hit!

I joined a support group to help me deal with my social anxiety but I just can't seem to work up the nerve to go to a meeting......

I prefer to pull out my katana and cut his hand off. If he complains I will cut one leg too. Then jump to the roof tops and move on.

That frigging duke has more muscle in his forearms than I have in my legs. Pretty impressive bit I think I'm to old and slow for that Peshitta, hell, I was lucky to be that fast in my prime.
I must say I love beavers.

I was thinking he has huge hands so forget about the gun. He can probably just grab the whole perpretator and crush it. I think his hands are larger than his head or am I wrong?
