    I got my VEPR!

    I decided the quickest way to get it was order a spare stock set for $29. Then I filled the thumbhole with a block of wood, epoxied in place, and then coated with a layer of JB Weld.

    Here is what it looked like at the FFL when I went to pick it up.



    I brought my modified stock in with me, and they installed it so I could take legal possession.

    And here it is now that I have it home with me.





    Now that I have it, I can paint it to match, paint a "FUAC" where the thumbhole used to be, or cover it with velcro and put some patches there, or whatever else comes to mind for ideas.

    That is a NICE looking bunch of meat!

    I can still find a use for my thumb, even though it no longer has a hole to finger.

    I could have been enjoying his nuts.

      No kidding. I'll probably play around with some other stock options this summer. I'd at least like to try my hand at customizing it.

          I'm glad I ordered the extra stock set and bungholed that one instead of the original set, because the original is beeeeyooootiful...

                    Btw, anyone who is even thinking of getting a VEPR in 54r or .308 should buy an extra stock set now. They are practically giving them away at $14.95!

                    Then you can modify them to your heart's content.
