I just got back from the range with the idiot. Only had about an hour of light but I wanted to just give it a quick test. It shoots really well. I put 50 rounds threw it of pmc bronze and tula. I had no issues with either. Both the steel and brass fed and extracted fine. I did notice the pmc brass case was noticeably more accurate. It is a new barrel so it will need a little break in but the pmc was a noticeable improvement over the steel tula. I usually shoot brass case anyways but wanted to see if it would function with the steel. I did notice the chamber is fluted like the H&K rifles which was a surprise.

I put a cheap primary arms red dot on it for now. I had it lying around. They are actually really good for the $. Anyways got it sighted in at 40 yards which is the 1st berm at our range. Was shooting at a 8" target in the dark and was putting them all together. In the dark I mean you could see the bull at all and I was just doing the best I could to center the red dot on the target. I am pretty happy with the results so far.

Here is the last group I shot in the dark. All the holes on left were sight in. The 10 in the center just below bull were the last mag in the dark. Not to shabby. It will be a really good rifle once broken in and in the light lol.

Read that QR code, will ya? Gotta wonder what's in it. Date of manufacture, etc?

I can still find a use for my thumb, even though it no longer has a hole to finger.

Yep. I can verify that those 10 nearly touching each other cam outta that rifle on the darker side of dusk as I was spotting with my spotting scope for him. It seems to be a really accurate rifle. Loud as **** but accurate. I'm waiting to see what happens as the barrel gets fouled up. I THINK it's only going to get better but there's only one way to know for sure. Very smooth action. Feels pretty good. Alittle front heavy but that's to be expected and it's not horribly front heavy like a target rifle is. Fit and finish seemed to be very nice. The folding stock locks very tight as does it when the position of the buttstock whe it is changed. Appears to be machined aluminum. That is actually one thing I've always hated about folding and adjustable stocks is slop and movement which is 99% gone in this setup. This appears to be a well thought out rifle IMHO. If I were to rate this gun overall I'd give it a 9 out of 10. (I have to deduct one for price point, but if ya wanna play ya gotta pay) I'm still going to call this gun the Mosseberg 500 chambered in .223, but I am impressed with it. I guess I can't pick on wildman too much because it is a decent rifle. I'll just remind him he's shooting the truck that should be pulling his boat everytime I go shooting with him now!! LOL

hahaha shooting the truck huh. Its nice to see your story change a little to liking the thing sort of. You seemed pretty against it before I got it but now handling it and seeing it shoot the story changed a little. I don't think the price I got it for is to bad. It falls into the price category of a quality psa/bcm build ar. Now if I had to pay close to msrp like at teh local stores then I don't think I would have gotten one. I would say if you can score one for under $925 then you should really look into it.

Well we can sure try. I have a few pumpkins here that were donated for us to destroy. That group should be easy to replicate in the daylight and even make it much better.
