After a lot of himming and hawing, I finally installed the Apex Tactical carry kit for my EDC, and M&P Shield 9. It was relatively simple, but I was hesitant on doing it myself for a while. Trigger work makes me nervous, and the last thing that I wanted was to become the subject of a kitchen gunsmith story that boogered up a trigger install.
The kit included a new aluminum trigger assembly, along with a new striker block and fully machined sear and spring kit. The difference is night and day compared to the factory setup. It breaks much cleaner and more consistent. The reset is also a lot more consistent.
Range day showed excellent results. This is my first 15 round group from 5 yards. The one that's high and wide was the very first shot. I admittedly closed my eyes and looked away just in case. LOL.

Just for comparison sake, here's the same distance in May of 2014.
