Just bringing my Para P12 back on line. Had a frame crack in the rail behind the slide release hole. Used a dremel to cut it away, radiused the cut, smoothed, and shot the snot out of it (200+ rds) - no crack spread -
.
It's old (1996), all steel, Wilson Combat tweaked in '97, shots like a bullseye gun.
But it's heavy - very heavy with 10 + 1 220 gr Critical Duty.
Tried the Alien Gear route - comfortable, but can't do one-handed, no-look reholstering as per my training (MDTS, PFC & southnarc) due to the neoprene backing.
I've always gone with Comp-Tac (the CTAC), even for an XD Service, but open to other suggestions. Think I need to spread the load out.
I use a wide leather belt from The Beltman, so I have to stretch the CTAC C-clips with a heat gun.
Thanks in advance
