      I don't think so. One could make the back section so it provides a bit of a ring w/o touching the barrel. The gases should have plenty of bleeding to scape so I would dooubt
      they will blow backwards at all. No more than a muzzle brake that is for sure.

        Very creative and interesting mek. So you could also redesign a solvent trap so it could attach to the handguard as well.

          Thanks. I don't know how I feel about solvent traps. It sounds a little too feminine for bad azz outdoor guys. LOL
