So....one rifle, one pistol, and a knife are now a "small arsenal"? Fuk, if I get pulled over on my way to the range I'm screwed! Perhaps the inclusion of a black ski mask gives this stash of weapons "arsenal" status? Sounds like the cops prevented a tragedy! (or maybe caused somebody to get frostbite after they confiscated the ski mask, after all it was several degrees below zero with a windchill into the minus 20's last Wednesday). Mere words cannot express my outrage at this point.

Not sure if rifle was loaded or not or if she had a CCW for pistol but if so or not, respectively, these would have been felonies before unSAFE.

She has fallen a long way: threw away a marriage and a business, screwed up a decent run into politics, gave up her children, and has taken up with what appears to be a thug. I do not condone her life choices.

My outrage is over the MSM's melodramatic reporting...."arsenal"?....really? In addition, just about every article I've read makes explicit mention of the "black ski mask". I have a ski mask, gloves, and a knife in my vehicle right now. I often have a pistol in a lock box, at least one on my person, and a knife in my pocket while I am in the vehicle. On the way to the last Swamp shoot there were 7 rifles, a few handguns, and several hundred rounds of ammo in my truck. Good Lord man, imagine how that would be reported in the press!

I thought I heard something about the pistol being an airsoft gun. No idea if that's been confirmed or not.

Poor life choices aren't good, but they don't justify a crappy law.

It turns out it was an airsoft pistol and protective mask.

The AR was modified to be compliant. The DA's position is that any AR is illegal and can not be modified to be compliant.

I expect charges will be dropped in a little bit. A charge like that is not win-able since NYS (the people you represent) has already supplied a defense to the charge.

I wanna see a DA prosecute under this BS law!! Never happen!! The right to bear arms is the right to bear arms. I don't care where the rifle was. She has the right to have that rifle by her side and ANY law stating otherwise is infringing on 2nd Amendment rights. Period!! A pistol permit is illegal as well. Since when is a right only a right when you have to have PERMISSION from a govt??? Never .... that's when.
