I do not see that any kind of carry furthers the objective

What percentage of the population is still undecided about the 2A? Of the percentage that's undecided, what percentage that think a Barrett is inappropriate for today's event would think an AR was appropriate?

It's hard to read the tea leaves and know for sure, but I doubt the 50cal makes much difference in the grand scheme of things. There were always going to be armed people at this event. The .50 is probably more polarizing to people in the pro 2A camp than any other group. To everyone else it's just another gun to project their preconceived notions onto.

I wonder what the head count for VA was today. There were definitely a number of out of staters in attendance. Think the were more people in VA than at the first SAFE rally that didn't have much representation from out of state?

"Nobody has so much as fired a shot. This is an unbelievable tragedy," said one teary-eyed MSNBC reporter, clearly caught up in the anguish of the moment. "It's tragic that we live in a country where reporters who are just minding their own business trying to push a narrative can have everything ripped away from them in an instant when protesters refuse to shoot at people."

Don't get me wrong, tens of thousands of armed folks showing up to flip off the VA legislature is a thing of beauty to behold. That said, the minds that I'm hoping to see changed are those liberal city dwellers that the MSM has convinced all pro-2A folks are gun loving crazies....that we have nothing in common with said liberals. Pics of my fellow shooters running around downtown Richmond looking like wannabee GI-Joes isn't helping to change those liberal's minds. Just sayin.

              I get a boner.

bareback every couple of days, GTG. Bareback, brokeback, same $hit!

I joined a support group to help me deal with my social anxiety but I just can't seem to work up the nerve to go to a meeting......

You mean like the fool from the firing pin, walking around in Kevlar and armor while carrying a Barret? Definitely not helping.

Sounds like about what we had for the SAFE rallies depending on who's numbers you go by.

if i would have gone (and I almost went but Peshitta came up at work), I would have gone business casual personally and gone in the fenced area. I'm all for representing ourselves to the masses as normal upstanding citizens and I wanted to add to the numbers in the fenced area.

however, if anyone was going to bring a Barrett to this party i'm so glad it was Brandon. The guy is as nice as can be, well spoken and just a great guy with a big heart. since outside the fence was more about numbers with a splash of a show of force thrown in for good measure, it's good that we had a Barrett there, and an armored truck, and people of all creeds sporting various outfits, signs, flags and firearms.

If you see Brandon, ask him how many people he thinks were there.

i agree, this event needed to have a flair of fxck political correctness

so glad though that nothing got instigated.

Soooo..... you weren't wrong on the media plastering the image all over the news. No idea exactly what Brandon's thoughts were about bringing the 50, but he's getting a lot of free press for his business.

so glad that article actually called the Barrett what it was instead of wrongfully calling it a machine gun or implying it was a automatic like other outlets.
Even our local country music station's "gun guy" called it a machine gun this morning, wth Newman.
