Ok my split rail cannon is a piece of dom tubing that is 2 1/2” o.d. And a 1 3/4” I.d. With a 2 inch slug that has been pressed in and then tig welded in. Then I took a trailer ball and welded that to the end which added on another 1/4” filler weld on top of that. Every time you build something you test proof it and that cannon was proofed to 2400 grains which is three times the actual load. Just patch the golf ball and you’ll be good to go also toilet paper rolls work great as well for canister as well along with d sized batteries.
