That is crappy customer service. Scopes vary so much by model and company this is why the first thing I do when I order one is the take it outside by hand and look trough it. I do it during the day and sometimes later in the day when the sun starts to go down. I check it a different distances in the surrounding area and all the zoom and focus points.

UPDATE WITH SWFA!!!!
I must have hit a nerve with the email I sent because I received a email from the sales manager this afternoon. She apologized and got me a RMA form and said I can send it in for a refund. Looks like the crisis has been avoided for now. They can't stop us let them try. For heavy metal we will die!!!

Sorry to hear. The SS scopes are not what they used to be. If I cannot find the scope local I go to midway first. They take anything back, customer satisfaction first. so people can say whatever about midway but they come through every single time.
Eurooptics are pretty good too but midway has been excellent no matter what the issue.
It is a shame when people demanding tolerance, have no tolerance
