That is crappy customer service. Scopes vary so much by model and company this is why the first thing I do when I order one is the take it outside by hand and look trough it. I do it during the day and sometimes later in the day when the sun starts to go down. I check it a different distances in the surrounding area and all the zoom and focus points.

I'll be avoiding SWFA also. Every one of these companies have the EXACT same products to offer. The only thing that sets them apart is customer service. If they fail at customer service they fail to get my business. Very simple.

Customer service is key. I don't shop at a few places now because of the lack of good customer service.

Snowflakes are great!!! You can roll them around into a giant mass and shove a carrot in their ........

I probably should have done something like that but didn't. I only really looked threw it inside the house getting it setup on the rifle.

What is the manufacturer's warranty? You may be best to go that route, and send it to them!

Sorry that one is not mine but mine is equally just as nice. I bought mine a few years ago missing the sights and it was drilled and tapped on top of receiver with a set of weaver mounts for a scope. Who ever did it did a quality job. I was able to grab it cheap because of this but I was planning on putting a scope on it anyways so it didnt bother me. Well now with the scope issues I said screw it i'll find the correct sights and put back on it. I shoot fine with the irons and it will give me another rifle to shoot on the same level if not better than my kimber 82g.

                      UPDATE WITH SWFA!!!!

I must have hit a nerve with the email I sent because I received a email from the sales manager this afternoon. She apologized and got me a RMA form and said I can send it in for a refund. Looks like the crisis has been avoided for now.

Sorry to hear. The SS scopes are not what they used to be. If I cannot find the scope local I go to midway first. They take anything back, customer satisfaction first. so people can say whatever about midway but they come through every single time.
Eurooptics are pretty good too but midway has been excellent no matter what the issue.
It is a shame when people demanding tolerance, have no tolerance
