What are you guys feelings about knock off parts or accessories. I usually fork over the coin for the real deal especially optics but I did buy a fake Atlas bipod a while back. $40 compared to $290. Exact copy, I compared it to a real one my friend has. Only thing I had to do was locktight the leg pivot screws because the would work loose but no other issues. Put it on my MVP.

If they use same name of company they are copying then I won't buy it but if you send your designs over seas for production and now they rebrand it and sell it here then I have to problem buying it.www.AvidArms.com I'm STIHL out of conditioner!!

I guess it depends on how well made the knockoff is, and price relationship to the real item.
I don't know that I would put anything except a Harris on any one of my rifles. I've yet to find a cheaper version that does what it does. Plus, they are detachable and can be used on any rifle with a swivel stud.
In the case of the Atlas, I would probably check out the clone for the price.
Other than that I would have to say no.

IT IS an Intellectual Property theft.
The problem with some of the companies is that there are so many that it becomes impossible to enforce. But some are being shutdown in the USA
and then in many items there is no support of any kind, obviously. It happens with the OEM scopes, some popular ones.
I have an imitation of the harris bipod and then the real ones. For mild use with mild calibers they can pass the test but If I do to that copy
what I have done to the others they will crumble in pieces. Also I can tell the springs do not hold the same tension and the replica is somewhat
loosening with time so it has an impact when getting serious shooting.
It is a shame when people demanding tolerance, have no tolerance

I also like the friction lock legs...not the notches, and the hinged base with the locking arm.
The 12' - 25" isn't bad for field shooting, but I prefer the shorter one.
I'm glad the one you have works for you but I haven't had good luck with other brands. The spring tension needs to be right, and it needs to take the recoil of heavy caliber guns when I need it to.
