A very generous member here has loaned me a beautiful 1903A3 Springfield for use in an upcoming match. I got a chance to get to the range today for a few sighters....10 rounds down range and I think I'm good:

You may want to consider moving the rear sight a couple of clicks to the left... might give you a few more " X's" and they count...
