I picked up a 1969 Cub Cadet 125 garden tractor with mowing deck.for a couple hundred. Once I get it running again, it should last a very long time. Parts are readily available.

That is a NICE looking bunch of meat!

I can still find a use for my thumb, even though it no longer has a hole to finger.

I could have been enjoying his nuts.

Carb cleaned, wiring repaired, spindles on the deck rebuilt, new battery, gas tank cleaned. Might end up needing a head gasket job once I get it running, but that's no big deal on these, time will tell. Engine turns freely by hand, so it's not locked up.

My Wheel Horse has a cast iron Kohler Rated at 18 HP at 3600 rpm
    But
It runs at 1800 rpm and 9 HP
It will out live me by 40 years

I'm running an old John Deere 212. I think it's a 1987 with a single cylinder 12HP Kohler. It's getting a bit tired and burning oil, but still keeps chugging. I may do a rebuild on it at some point. I can get a rebuild kit for something like $250.
