I'm sure you all know the latest, so no links necessary.

As far as I'm concerned, the Biden administration may as well be considered the equivalent of a State sponsor of terrorism, with the funds they released for Iran, and the weapons they left behind in Afghanistan, some of which have made it into the hands of Hamas.

What I want to know is why doesn't anyone have the balls to confiscate the billions of dollars of Iranian money and give it to Israel to compensate for the death and destruction supported by that Iranian money.

Since his failure at the border, just in the past two years, we have had apprehensions at our border of 6,386 nationals from Afghanistan, 13,624 from Uzbekistan, 30,830 from Turkey, 1,613 from Pakistan, 164 from Lebanon, 185 from Jordan, 139 from Yemen, 123 from Iraq and 15,594 from Mauritania.

Then there's the 151 apprehended who were on the terror watch list this year alone.

Finally, there's the 1.5 million gotaways. How many of those were potential terrorists?

If we were minding our business, this wouldn't be such a big problem.

Question for ya..... If Israel falls to the terrorists, do you think they will be satisfied and just go home?

Step 1: Send a crapton of military arms to an Eastern European nation with a Nazi problem. Sheepishly admit that you only know where about 30% of those arms are actually going.

Step 2: Leave a crapton of military arms behind in Afghanistan to be taken by Islamic extermists.

Step 3: Act surprised when Israel gets attacked.

Israel isn't going to fall to the terrorists for a few reasons. First off, the terrorists can't compete with Israel's military might. Secondly, Hamas would cease to exist if they actually defeated Israel, so the grifters in charge don't actually want to defeat Israel. Thirdly, none of the other Arab nations want to take in the people who currently identify as 'Palesinians'.

I'm no fan of the terrorist groups over there and feel Israel should be able to kick butt all it pleases. But I also don't see how they need any US help to do so, so agree with Norm that we should stay out of it.

At the very least can we please stop sending billions of dollars to both sides of this conflict? We're sending Israel billions, and also sending a substantial sum of money to the so called 'Palestinians'. We can't even keep track of the weapons we're sending to Ukraine, so how the heck does anyone believe that we're going to have any control over how a group of people that aren't even a country with a functioning government use all the free money we're sending to them? Stop sending Israel money while we're at it too. We've got more than enough problems stateside that could use those funds.

I know Israel has defeated multiple enemies at the same time before. That doesn't mean they will be able to do so in the future. Weapon systems are evolving, and it's only a matter of time before terrorists end up with this stuff in their arsenal.

Again, a lot of that is on Biden. If Trump were still in office, the Ukraine situation wouldn't have happened in the first place, and even if it had, it probably would have been over in 9 months.

I most certainly agree with you about Palestinian money. It's absurd. The Palestinians voted Hamas into power. They should get none of it.

My understanding of the situation is that the Arab nations use Hamas kind of like China uses North Korea. None of these Arab nations truly care about the Palestinians, but they make for convenient distractions. Do the Arab nations hate Israel? Yep they do, but I'm not so convinced that US involvement does anything to deescalate the situation with other Arab nations. The Hamas racket stops when they actually defeat Israel for the same reason that Yasser Arafat rejected a legitimate two state solution offer. Nobody throws money at Hamas unless they can claim they're oppressed and victims. The day they actually get what they claim they want - whether a two state solution or the elimination of Israel, they no longer function. Those clowns have no clue how to run any kind of functioning society. They only know how to poke the bear every once in a while and then claim victim status when the bear mauls them in response. If Israel goes away, then the Palestinian people become the problem of the surrounding Arab nations; none of whom actually want them.

Maybe I overestimate how much the other Arab nations care whether there's a failing 3rd world hellhole where Israel used to be, but I don't actually think the US should be involved in this mess. I think the US should stop being stupid, but that's a whole different ball of wax. A whole different ball of wax that leads into a discussion of our own current set of problems that really need to be fixed before we worry about trying to get involved in more wars in foreign lands.

You mentioned what would be different if Trump were still president, but that's a big part of the ball of wax. Who believes Biden actually got the most votes of any US presidential candidate ever? If our government was operating as it was designed, I don't think we'd be having this discussion.
