  • Let's start a boycott pledge

Who pledges not to support any business that does not allow concealed carry moving forward?

If NYS wants to pass stupid laws then we can fight back by boycotting places that won't allowed CCW.

This will hurt the business getting them to reconsider. Hurting the business will also cause less tax revenue to go to Hochul and NYS which will also send a strong clear message.

I for one will also communicate to businesses why I won't be doing business with them until they change there policy and that I will be asking others to not support them either.

What are the details of the new law pertaining to businesses and CCW? Are they required to post signs now?

Nothing is for sure yet and as always tough to find good details at the moment.

My understanding which could change is that they would make it illegal to carry on all private property. Meaning business or even private homes. businesses would have to post a sign saying it's ok to carry in business so that permit holders would know but also other customers would know.

So basically NYS wants to put business owners in a position to choose which group to make happy and either way there business could take a hit over this .

Concealed is concealed, and most businesses don't have the spare bandwidth to be the enforcement arm of the petty dictators living in Albany. Probably going to be a nothingburger, and it will remain the situation where gun owners will avoid businesses that are overtly anti-gun.

We'll have to see how law is written but I doubt it's going to be a trespassing charge. If we ignore it now later on it will bite us in the ass or future generations. Have to make it hurt and unpopular from the start IMHO. If businesses close at higher rate it will hurt Democrats.

And this is reason enough to cause me to not frequent any business that makes it's customers into sitting ducks. Dumb.....just plain dumb.

Funny thing, I saw local news interviewing people at Jines restaurant about this, everybody interviewed said they liked the idea and would "feel safer knowing that there weren't people with concealed guns sharing a dining room" with them. F ucking sheep.......

Jines is in the heart of liberal yuppy-ville. Probably why it was selected by the reporter.

I doubt very many businesses will be running out to purchase a sugn to make CC legal on their property, and I don't really blame them. The State has put them in a crappy spot. I blame no one but Hochul.

I personally have no intention of altering ANYTING in my daily routine in response to this.

Just carry pre printed "concealed carriers welcome here" signs and post them on the front door on your way in to any business you want to enter.

Years ago people had business cards to hand to a manager of a store that had no guns allowed signs explaining why they lost our business

I struggle with this. On one hand you're hurting the small businesses that were forced into this as much as we have been. On the other, they may not even KNOW they need the signs. On the other other hand, "ignorance is no excuse"

I guess at this point I feel like the state is forcing them to make a choice and either way it's a losing choice for business owners. I feel like pressing the issue with a boycott will hopefully get business owners to fight NYS as well.

If we do nothing then nothing changes and it just gets worse for future generations.

Either way this is Hochuls fault and she is an idiot
