  • Supreme Court be damned say Hochul

She didn't say that specifically but her words and threat of actions do.

She is considering calling back NYS legislature and wants to find work around since supreme Court ruling. She obviously hasn't taken her oath of office seriously and isn't a governor for the people.

Wouldn't the fact that she's so publicly stating she intends to violate the Bruen ruling open her up to being sued personally?

        I find the disconnect laughable......

From a local news site a couple of days ago (https://www.whec.com/news/rep-morell...nce/6503407/):

Congressman Joe Morelle released a letter Friday. He wrote to the United States attorney general asking for help on gun violence. “I was talking to someone in law enforcement earlier this week who said there was an individual who was charged three different times with gun charges and out on the street each time,” the congressman said. Judges in New York state court are not allowed to consider if a defendant is dangerous when they're considering bail. Morelle is sponsoring a bill that, among other things, holds gun shops accountable for gun thefts.

And yet the Manhattan DA states in this article (https://www.politico.com/news/2022/0...gun-00041715):

“New York still has some of the toughest gun laws in the country on the books, and we will continue to use these statutes to hold accountable those who commit gun violence,” he said.

On a side note, notice that Morelle is "sponsoring a bill that, among other things, holds gun shops accountable for gun thefts". So, gun shop owner is accountable but the thief who drives a van through the back wall of the gun shop and then uses a set of torches to cut open the safe and steal the guns is NOT "held accountable"?

Man, you guys can have this f ucking place!

In her most recent campaign ad, she stated that NY will not allow government mandated pregnancies (despite the fact that your own decision is what got you pregnant in the first place), and this comes on the heels of a state government that forced you to get a shot against your will to keep your job or have a cup of coffee in public. You just can't make this Peshitta up.

Yup, it's called do what I want and don't ask questions.

??????Scary how it seems the other 2 branches of government are going to try and ignore the judicial branch. I guess if that happens I can ignore the legislative and executive branch or whatever branch I want that I don't agree with. After all that's what may become the norm.

Here's the rub..... We now know a lot of these laws are unconstitutional and yet we have to risk our liberty and pay lots of money to prove it. I think someone should start a fund to pay for all the litigation we have ahead of us.
