Also to consider: Russia has superior forces; don't be mislead by the current situation where we're seeing the Ukrainians beating back Russian forces. Putin is actually endangering his troops by sending in relatively small columns of forces.....he doesn't want the optics of large civilian casualties that would come with a proper invasion. So don't be fooled by all this talk of "Putin underestimated the Ukrainians". What WILL result from this will be the ratcheting up of war crimes as the Russian troops become frustrated.

Ukraine has been dealing with Russian incursions and minor conflicts for the better part of a decade now. But what have they done to prepare for an attack from Russia during that time? Does anyone know? Waiting until Russia has troops in country is a bit late to start passing out rifles and getting arms support from NATO. Germany just decided to increase their military spending now.

This whole thing just seems a little weird if you scratch beneath the superficial media coverage at all. Then there's this video clip that doesn't make things any less weird:
