I've had pretty good luck with the Champion C9 stuff at Target. I picked up a couple pairs of pants last year, then a 3rd this Spring on clearance.

I WILL get there someday, though.
Most training plans take 16 -18 weeks and
If you can commit to exercise/ run 5 times a week and one long run at the weekend - you can run 26.2
You may not set any records, but you will finish standing up.

The time required for the weekend long runs is the biggest problem. My boys are just too young, and my wife would lose her mind. She was about ready to lock herself in the bathroom this past weekend just to get away from them for a little while. Once they're older, and can fend for themselves a bit more, I'll be upping the training and looking into a full. I know a few people that are running MCM this weekend, and I"m wishing I could be there.

I've been planning to try out Galloway's half training plan. I really want to try to break 2 hours in April. With 6 months training, I'm pretty sure I can do it.

Half marathon #3 is in the books. Set a new personal record of 1:54:39 yesterday.

Oh, and I'm signed up for a sprint triathlon at the end of August, one week before my 18.12 race.

Longer distance running like a half marathon doesn't really interest me at all. I'm intrigued by sprint triathlons though.

Nice job on the half. I'm just hoping to increase my endurance past the 5k mark this summer.

I never thought I'd say it, but I love long distance. 5k's are fun, and they hurt like a bastard when you're doing them, but at least they're over quick.

This training cycle, I did find my upper limit when I ran 15 and 17 miles. The 15 hurt around mile 14, and the 17 hurt around mile 15. If I keep pushing, though, they'll get better.

Have you seen the documentary on Netflix about the Barkley Marathons? That's the ultimate in long and slow.

I'm running the NJ Marathon next Sunday - hoping for a 3:30:00 time which would qualify me for the Boston Marathon.
