While I was looking for specific number I understand that is tough because of tons of variables LOL however I would settle for % of home value or X amount of mortgage payments, ect.

OK well, in general you should have 3 - 6 months worth of your monthly expenses saved in case of an emergency. This is irregardless of whether you own a house.
