Was never a big fan. I saw him a few times over the years, most recently when he toured with Santana back in 95. My cousin worked in the crew for Santana and she got me back stage passes for a show at Jones Beach. Garcia died the night before the show and Carlos asked that nobody be allowed backstage that night. A couple months later he was back in NY with Beck. She got me passes again and I was backstage talking to Carlos and Beck walked towards us. I reached out to shake his hand and said hello, well, he damned near spit on me, told me to "eff off". Carlos just laughed, shook his head and said, "he's a miserable man". My cousin told me everybody hated him, his own crew included. Carlos, on the other hand, could not have been nicer. Real down to earth, falling over himself apologizing for the night I was at Jones Beach.Riding bareback since 1989 -
