Finally caught whatever bug the kids have had. First time calling in sick to the new job. Boss gave me homework, but figured I'd try to stir up signs of life here in the forum first.

Anyone else catch the bug that's going around?

We've had colds running through our house off and on for a couple weeks.

This is beyond a cold for me. Running a fever and feeling pretty rough. I fear it's the dreaded man flu.

dang, sorry to hear you have something that rough! we've definitely had colds and probably RSV in our house the last couple weeks. my family's traditional turkey day was pretty light this year as so many of the extended family were sick last week (and we were out of town).

Now I'm all nervous the family members we saw over Thanksgiving are going to get it. Kinda takes the edge off the holiday if we got everyone sick.

Saturday I ran 4 miles in the morning, then went to visit my uncle who's in poor health. The kids stayed at my parents specifically to avoid bringing extra germs to my uncle's house. I felt fine, so hopefully I wasn't contagious at the time. No hugs. Just a fist bump.

Glad you're headed in the right direction. The one RN I know said 'everyone's sick' right now.

Our kids were coughing and dealing with a bug, so we're the most likely culprits.

That's an accurate description of what I have going on. I think I'm past the worst of it, but still feeling pretty awful. I've got some back spasms and congestion thrown into the mix too.

My oldest got knocked out by something a couple weeks ago. He had a mild fever and he slept almost the entire day and was still able to sleep all night.

Just when I think I'm doing better, temperature is back up to 101.

I think I'm done with the fever. Temperature has been normal most of today. Still have a cough and some congestion, but the body aches seem to be fading.
