Read this article abs it got me thinking about how I've been doing over the past few years. I can't say I don't fall for fake news and tricks, but it's interesting to try to assess how I've done, and why I've made the decisions I have, or held the views I have.

The big one over the past few years is obviously Covid, and generally I've been a contrarian. At the beginning, I saw the headlines early and thought it was going to be a big deal when most people were saying it wasn't going to be a big deal. Then I morphed to a kind of ambivalence of it not being a big a deal as we thought in combination with the resignation that we're all going to get it anyways. Then there are also multiple levels and aspects to it all, with the disease and government response to it being their own unique things. Can't really say I'm some big independent thinker though, because peer pressure definitely had an influence on me over the course of things. In both good ways and bad ways.

Interesting to try to self assess this kind of thing.
