I've been watching the headlines on this and have no idea what to think. They're going to invade. They're not going to invade. They're going to invade. They're not going to invade.

Now apparently some rebel groups have started with the artillery, so everyone thinks the invasion is imminent.

The stock market will likely drop again until the headlines say the invasion is off.

I have a friend that's currently in Moscow teaching, and he's had conversations with several Russians about it, and they all agree that it's just a theater act. There's little to no concern there that anything will actually happen.

A Russian coworker that I have said the same thing.

Putin has announced that he's formally recognizing the Ukraine separatist regions as sovereign states.

Putin is moving Russian 'peacekeeping troops' into the separatist regions that he recognized as independent.

If an invasion self identifies as a peacekeeping mission, the left won't recognize it as an invasion.

Putin obviously knows what he's doing.
