The Rittenhouse case had so much publicly available video, that anyone who had paid any attention last year saw it as self defense. The gun community seemed pretty well aware of the details of the case and the fact that it should be ruled as self defense.
The Ahmaud Arbery case on the other hand, I don't think people know as much about. The media put a huge effort into spewing misinformation about the Rittenhouse trial to try to create controversy. The media hasn't been giving the Arbery trial nearly as much attention, and I think the general concensus is that the guys who killed him should be found guilty. The lack of media coverage of the case could actually end up being problematic. I don't know much about the specific laws in question or the specifics of the incident, so my suspicion is that this case would be more likely to cause riots if the defendants aren't found guilty.

The Legal Insurrection summary leaves me with more questions than I expected about a case that I thought was more cut and dry.
