Why current vaccine mandates are bad idea

I'm not going to go with the obvious ones we've been discussing over and over.

A huge reason IMHO is the fact these vaccines suck!

??????I'll elaborate a little. Mandating vaccination during a pandemic with a deadly disease with a safe and effective vaccine is a very solid strategy to combat such a situation like that.

However I don't think we're at that point. I think we have something that is new and new is scary. I also pointed out from the very beginning we didn't and still don't have a vaccine. Sure maybe it helps save some lives which is great!

Problem is that since this virus isn't bad enough to warrant mandatory vaccination and our vaccine isn't even really a vaccine we are stuck where we are.

So now the next time this happens and it's a real emergency people will think back to this and not trust our government because they acted so irrationally to this threat.

These two sentences cut to the heart of the matter. There will be many bad long term consequences for the destruction of the public's trust in the press and government. The way both of these institutions abused the public's trust is the height of short sighted arrogance.
