  • Covid vs. Voting

I have a coworker who is a single mom and yesterday she was told that her daughter had been exposed to COVID at school. Today she got the call from the DOH saying her daughter would have to quarantine for 10 days. She got this call before she got a chance to vote. Since she only got notice that her child was exposed yesterday, she obviously didn't have enough time to request an absentee ballot. So due to the COVID restrictions, she was deprived of her chance to vote.

Isn't this the kind of thing a lawyer would jump on to make some noise about COVID restrictions AND voting rights?

Somehow I figured there would be some money from the gov. Not sure how, but I figured lawyers would know.

If American Idol can have text-in voting, so can we! Thats next level over mail-in even! The Democrats will love it!
