Supply Chain Disruptions

At the beginning of Covid, certain items became hard to find because everyone started panic buying and the supply chain couldn't keep up. Now, it appears that a variety of lockdown ripple effects are working their way through the economy and certain items are becoming randomly unavailable. There are something like 75 container ships off the coast of Cali waiting to be unloaded. The printer we use at work is delaying print jobs because they're having a hard time getting the correct paper. I noticed that the TP and Kleenex selection at BJs is hit or miss. Today I found they didn't have any Smuckers Jam.

I've gotten a little sloppy about keeping certain items supplied in the house since the crazy has died down a bit. It appears I need to start paying closer attention again.

I was actually just reading about this the other day. One of this main issues are policies at port. They have to do so much cleaning between shifts it cutting down on efficiency. They just don't have the capacity at unloading because of those policies which is backing up everything which is obviously effecting supply chains and what not. So now you have ships waiting to be unloaded which means those ships are out of commission until they are unloaded

Walmart canned food is very low. They have some stuff with Walmart brand and little to none of major brands
