When George Stephanopoulos about the Afghans who died hanging onto the side of a C17, Biden responded "That was four or five days ago."

While I have some less than politically correct thoughts about the people clinging to the side of a military transport plane, what kind of answer is "That was four or five days ago."?????

The fact that it was only two days ago is beside the point.

A very politically incorrect take on this whole mess by a guy that has been there:

      https://www.gunsamerica.com/digest/c...f-afghanistan/

      Excerpt:

"Afghanistan should never have been anything except a punitive expedition. We should have left in 2004, 2006, 2007, or ten minutes after Osama Bin Laden died. Any one of those would have been a leave with honor type situation. Instead, we opted to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory and look like incompetent boobs to the entire planet. I should say, our Generals and Politicians opted for that. Almost like that was the goal………

The idea of spending 2.2 trillion dollars to “export our way of life” to cavemen is retarded, and anyone with an ounce of sense knows that. I often said that giving the Ghans a Jeffersonian Democracy was a fool’s errand since we could barely keep one functioning ourselves. Post Nov. 4th, 2020, we know that “barely functioning” wasn’t true either. The idea of the U.S. Government fighting corruption is laughable in our own country. So no Peshitta we laundered 2.2 trillion into bribes and fake projects, what did you think was going to happen?

We lost this war the minute Code Pink was taken seriously. The minute Bradly Manning and Bo Berghdale weren’t hung. The first time we charged one of our warfighters with murder or using excessive force. The first time we denied an element in contact air support. Our people, 49% of them at least, are weak and stupid. The great sifting has just begun, and it will get worse. That is the price you pay for allowing weakness to take root in your society."

So now Biden has 'called a lid' indefinitely by removing all public remarks, press briefings, and press conferences off his schedule. Supposedly he's going to be heading back to Delaware or something like that. That's probably a smart move for him since all of his recent public comments haven't inspired confidence. Supposedly Harris is flying to Vietnam...? So it appears that Biden is going to try to govern like he campaigned: from his basement.

The British parliament voted to formally hold Biden in contempt. This is the first time they've ever done such a thing. The guy who was supposed to rehab America's international reputation has succeeded in royally (pun intended) pissing off one of our closest allies*.

        * Felt the 'closest ally' thing needs an asterisk after the Steele dossier nonsense. Can't help but wonder how British intelligence feels about that move now.

I've been trying to make sense of this. Best I got is that Biden obviously didn't think this through. Things have been the greatest for his presidency so he wanted a win. He decided this would be a good idea. Unfortunately he is a democrat and they think in terms of politics and not reality. Pulling out of Afghanistan sounded great however in democrat fashion he didn't consider the reality of the situation and this is what we have.

I'm not even kidding or being politically biased when I say this. Biden has to go. It's painfully clear he isn't capable of leading this country. The other scary part is that Kamila isn't either and Nancy is honestly out of her mind too. Of those 3 I guess Kamila is best suited because I don't think she is legit crazy but she just lacks so much experience and will likely be taken advantage of.
Anyone else hear that some of the military equipment we left has access to our military satellite network?

After watching the press conference with the sec defense and chairman of the joint chiefs, I had two possible explanations for why they couldn't/wouldn't answer certain questions. Either they're both incompetent boobs, or they weren't allowed to say they were acting under orders from the White House.

Everyone in the press corps knew we have the capability to rescue American personnel who are left behind, but Milley and Austin kept reiterating that they're securing the airport. Rescuing all the Americans would be a lot of work and likely become messy, but I don't think anyone would seriously argue we can't do it. Now, a couple days later we find out that the Brits, Germans, and French are indeed sending out spec ops teams to rescue their citizens.

Are we intentionally not rescuing our citizens, are we incompetent, or do we currently have spec ops working on it and nobody could say it in the presser because we didn't want to publicly admit to violating any agreements with the Taliban?

The Stephanopoulos interview that made Biden look bad, was the version that THEY EDITED TO MAKE HIM LOOK BETTER!

The host asked the president a straightforward question: “ I think a lot of-- a lot of Americans, and a l-- even a lot of veterans who served in Afghanistan agree with you on the big, strategic picture. They believe we had to get out,” Stephanopoulos began. “But I wonder how you respond to an Army Special Forces officer, Javier McKay (PH). He did seven tours. He was shot twice. He agrees with you. He says, ‘We have to cut our losses in Afghanistan.’ But he adds, ‘I just wish we could've left with honor.’”

            Biden responded nonsensically.

“Look, that's like askin' my deceased son Beau, who spent six months in Kosovo and a year in Iraq as a Navy captain and then major-- I mean, as an Army major. And, you know, I'm sure h-- he had regrets comin' out of Afganista-- I mean, out of Iraq," Biden replied.

So who exactly are the people who have been behind the curtain pulling the levers ever since Biden announced he was running? Who props this guy up as the candidate of choice without some seriously messed up intentions?

Couldn't agree with this more. Huge waste of time.

I've spoken with vets who did multiple tours over there. To put it politely, they say the people over there have zero redeeming qualities.
