Maybe we should start a firing people from jobs moratorium. It's new and different so maybe CDC can get away without needing Congress. Without a job people will lose their homes and increase risk of transmission especially among the unvaccinated according to the science.

I'm no virologist or anything like that but my personal opinion based on things I've read while keeping an open mind is that the vaccines themselves aren't likely causing these variants. Obviously variants that can get past vaccination are going to spread a lot more and become more dominant.

I don't think we're at a point where vaccinated every American will help either.

The experts and media have called the unvaccinated variant factories. Obviously there is some truth to that but as normal they don't tell the whole story or give you the full perspective.

The world health organization has been saying that the US and other countries shouldn't give boosters until other poorer countries catch up in vaccination.

The delta variant and now the new Mu variant haven't started in the US. They have started in countries with vaccination rates much lower then the US.

Since we don't and can't used settled science to make decisions with covid we should be smart enough to know that we need to prioritize vaccination of those who want it no matter where in the world they are. We shouldn't focus on those who have had covid either.

What good is it to have 100% vaccination rate in the US if large portions of the world aren't vaccinated? They'll create new variants which as we are seeing defeat the vaccines and we're in no better position then we were before.

If we closed all international travel until covid is over then I see an argument for 100% vaccination for those who haven't had covid, or at least a discussion. But since that isn't the case our current plan is stupid and as we see ineffective.

So vaccinate anyone anywhere in the world that wants it first like the World health organization is saying. Oh and they are made up of scientists and Drs from all over the world so I'd like to think they have a good amount of experience and credentials and not easily manipulated by a single government.
