I'm pretty sure this is going to lead to all kinds of stress for certain types of people, which will be both hilarious and awesome. What will the virtue signaling mask cultists do? Shed their mask to virtue signal to the world they've gotten vaccinated, or keep the mask on to continue virtue signaling to everyone that they're extra extra safe? With this new guidance from the CDC, will people assume those not wearing masks are Trump supporters, or will the assumption be people wearing masks haven't been vaccinated yet and so they're the Trump supporters. I can't wait to see what kind of weirdness happens at Wegmans as people adjust to the new situation.

The people who scream "follow the science" are currently saying wear a mask or get vaccinated. Nobody is saying anything about the people who have had Covid and recovered.

Either way, if you're not wearing a mask and anyone questions whether you've been vaccinated, HIPAA law says it's none of their business.

if the vaccine prevents serious symptoms and doesn't actually stop infection and ability to infect others then this would be perfect to get those who are wearing masks an increased risk of catching it.

I do think Cuomo is right, the CDC guidelines seem like it's marketing ploy otherwise why give exemptions to where you still have to wear mask if this was safe for all involved?

Regardless of what angle the dictators are trying to take on the mask situation, I think the chaos it creates for the virtue signalers is pretty hilarious. Just when everyone thinks they know how to identify their tribe, someone changes the ID rules. What if the bloods and crips were constantly changing their colors like this?

Aside from the political nonsense about masks, there's a fairly significant amount of data at this point that suggests that at best they don't do anything to prevent Covid, and at worst they actually increase the spread. It's all BS. Might as well grab some popcorn and enjoy the show.

New York state will lift its mask mandate Wednesday to align with federal guidance, which will allow those vaccinated against COVID-19 to avoid wearing a face covering in most situations, Gov. Andrew Cuomo said Monday.

Cuomo on Monday announced New York's strict mask mandate will be relaxed Wednesday based on the new Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidance, which was issued Thursday and led a number of states to rescind or relax rules that had been in place for much of the pandemic.

"All the arrows are now pointed in the right direction, so let’s get back to life," Cuomo said during a news conference at Radio City Music Hall, referring to declining COVID-19 infections supporting the easing of mask restrictions.

The mask mandate will be lifted for fully vaccinated people the same day that New York will lift capacity restrictions for many businesses, which Cuomo had announced earlier this month.

Gotta wait until Wednesday though. Something magical changes over the next two days that makes it safe to go without a mask on Wednesday, but not today.
