Took a scuba diving certification course my senior year of college as an elective. Unfortunately they did the open water dives to complete the certification after the semester was over and I was in Europe. Never completed my certification.

My wife is certified, but hasn't logged a dive in a few years.
Old enough to know better, still too young to care

Has she done around here at all or mostly vacation diving?

I'd say 99% of her dives have been in the 1000 Islands.

So she's experienced with going from depths of 4ft to 400ft in a matter of moments? LOL

I've seen some videos and in spots there can be some good currents going on to point where they have to hold on to line for safety

There are a few wrecks there that have some pretty serious current. I can’t remember the names but the one by Rock Island and one by the USCG station in the narrows are pretty swift.

Steel hulls or just old wooden hulls? There's a few wooden hull wrecks in the Niagara River. I've only snorkeled around the one because a lot of the others are in weedy gross areas.

There's steel. The mrs says they're about half and half wood/steel.
