  • You can grow marijuana today?

Anyone both to read the actual law yet? So many issues lol.

First the have the cannabis board or whatever certain legal authorizations. However it later says they can do things outside the scope given to them lol.

Need outlets are saying you can possess 5 pounds at home..... But that's not in effect now so it's very illegal .

NYS repealed the law saying you can't grow marijuana already. The new law regarding number of plants you can grow at home isn't being reported on accurately either.

They say medical users have to wait 6 months and rec users 18 months after first dispensary opens. The truth is the cannabis board has 6 months to make rules for growing if your medical user and up to 18 months after first dispensary opens for recreational growing.

BUT the law limiting growing plants at home at all doesn't go into effect until the board makes rules so you can grow at home. Basically the law says that you can grow once board makes rules but the law that limits you growing doesn't go into effect until you can grow.

Yes my head hurts too lol. So there is no law saying you can't grow 2 million plants for personal consumption except you can only possess 3 ounces.

Oh and you can possess 3 ounces today but there is no legal way to aquire it. So does that mean the state won't prosecute illegal sales? After all how else do they reasonable expect someone to become in possession of marijuana lol?

You'd think having a governor that is a lawyer they would be more on top of this .

    Unless it's all a distraction?

But let's be honest, this is only happening for the money aspect and thats why there are waiting times for home growing. It's to make sure when the industry is finally up and running there are still people to buy it so the state gets it cut. Surprisingly the law doesn't require permits or fees for personal use growing.

What do you all think about this passing ?

They're expecting a massive tax windfall, but with their typical idiotic legislation, all they'll end up doing is creating a massive gray market. Lots more stoners with minimal additional tax revenue.

It will be poorly thought out, and even more poorly executed.

That is a NICE looking bunch of meat!

I can still find a use for my thumb, even though it no longer has a hole to finger.

I could have been enjoying his nuts.
