  • Mandatory vaccination = bye bye NYS

Not sure if anyone saw this yet but if they make this law I'll most likely be leaving NYS myself. https://www.fox5ny.com/news/new-york...tion-mandatory

Do bills normally show penalty for non compliance? https://www.nysenate.gov/legislation/bills/2019/A11179

I kept trying to scroll the screen to find more of that bill. Pretty bare bones compared to a lot of the legislation I've read.

      3. ANY INDIVIDUAL WHO HAS RECEIVED A MEDICAL EXEMPTION FROM A LICENSED
MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL SHALL NOT BE MANDATED TO RECEIVE THE COVID-19 VACCINE AND SHALL BE EXCLUDED FROM THE REQUIREMENTS OF THIS SECTION.
I've got a pretty good relationship with my doctor. I bet if I asked him for a note to be excluded he would give me one.

Will there be exemptions for people who have already tested positive and recovered? That wasn't covered in what I saw and seems like a reasonable exemption.

Based on the available data, there is zero legitimate reason to force this vaccination on children. If they try to force this on kids, we'll be packing our bags.

        Here's an interesting read https://apnews.com/article/us-expert...05479e4d94b786

So medical experts say the current pfizer vaccine data shows it's good at preventing covid-19 symptoms but the data does not answer the question if it evens prevents the spread of covid19.

"For example, while the vaccine is more than 90% effective in blocking the symptoms of COVID-19, the FDA’s advisers stressed it is not yet clear whether it can stop the silent, symptomless spread that accounts for roughly half of all cases."

Yes, I believe they do. Funny, a law with no consequences seems kind of....pointless.

Yet another reason all the people claiming we can stop this disease are delusional. It's here. It's not going away. We're all going to get it sooner or later. Minimizing the impact is a great goal, but thinking we'll be able to stop it or avoid it completely is dreaming.
