F uck that red zone Peshitta! Looking at Ridge Rd West, there are restaurants in the red zone (now limited to take-out only) located literally right next door to restaurants in the yellow zone (still allowed to have dine-in service). If I was a business owner I would be raising holy hell about this nonsense.

                /end rant

Here is a tangent........ We had open businesses and record low rates of covid. Now covid is increasing. So that means it can't be businesses causing it. It's people deciding there over covid-19. So why punish business owners? In fact by allowing indoor dining one could argue that businesses could help enforce masks and social distancing measures.

                    **** Cuomo!

How do they define the zones? Based on the home addresses of the people infected? People are traveling from orange zones to the yellow zones to visit businesses. I don't work at home at this point and rarely have guests over to my house. None of this makes any sense.

When each area hit the 3% 'yellow' threshold, they were supposed to start testing 20% of school attendees per week until the area moved their percentages above or below the 3% level. School students are an extremely low risk population, so mass testing of students will naturally reduce an area's percentage of positive tests. But, since the Rochester City School District is all remote learning, the city didn't get to test a ton of kids to lower their percentage of positive test results. So the city is moved to orange while the surrounding suburbs that are still having kids in school stay yellow. This is likely nothing more than the result of which demographics are getting tested, and may have nothing to do with the actual distribution of Covid cases in our area. But, due to this policy of testing students, the urban areas that are already struggling the most are going to take it on the chin yet again.

The cities are screwed for quite a few years to come.

Good to know there won't be any more protests downtown until they get their numbers under control.
