Kenosha County Sheriff David Beth told the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel that one person had been shot in the head and another in the chest. As of early Wednesday, no one had been taken into custody, but Beth said authorities had identified at least one person involved based on social media footage of the incident.

“I feel very confident we’ll have him in a very short time,” he said.

In a series of videos from the shooting, it appears a group of men had surrounded another man carrying a semi-automatic weapon. The man with the weapon is on the ground when he opens fire on the crowd.

Some of the videos and photos appear to show unarmed people attacking the armed individual. Why the armed individual was roaming the streets is a good question, but attacking such an individual seems unwise either way.

Note: Wisconsin is an open carry state.

It was only a matter of time. The Defund the Police/BLM/Antifa movement/rioting stretches law enforcement thin, and as a result citizens are left to fend for themselves. This particular individual may or may not have made the smartest decisions that night, from being apart from the group he was with earlier, and/or possibly out looking for trouble. Time will tell.

Based on the news reports and videos I've seen, very few of the people out that night made smart decisions when they decided to be there.

from what I've seen they weren't all unarmed, one of the guys shot had a pistol in his hand another was beating the rifle toter (17yo kyle) in the head with a skateboard.
i believe kyle was part of a group trying to protect local dealerships as the rioters were going around lighting them on fire and destroying them.

i know it sounds crazy but tiktok is pretty awesome for seeing content such as these videos almost immediately. this Peshitta is crazy but totally expected, i'm honestly surprised it has taken this long.

It sounds like there are A LOT of high profile legal teams interested in defending Rittenhouse. The first degree murder charge looked shaky from the start, but now I wouldn't be surprised if he ends up getting money from the media outlets that have slandered him in their reporting.

Don’t believe everything you hear in the media. My friends were watching the live feed as it happened. This person was there. The people he shot were trying to light businesses on fire and threw molotov cocktails at him. Also, he had a mask over his face, and it was night time. No one knew what color he was.

"I’ve been hearing all of the chatter about the shooter from last night at the protest/riots in Kenosha. We had contact with Kyle earlier and he got us out of a sticky situation! The media is trying to paint him as a murderer, a terrorist, Antifa, and all this other BS. I can’t let this poor kid’s story be told by the lying,race baiting, one sided media any more! So here is the story!

Kyle actually helped us not even 30 minutes before this happened. We were at an auto body shop that our friend worked at. Our friend and bunch of other guys, including Kyle were guarding it that night. At one point we were all trapped inside with a large crowd hurling rocks and preventing us from leaving. We were all armed, but still felt like sitting ducks! Luckily the police came by to disperse the crowd. He stood lookout to tell us when it was safe to leave. He walked out first in front of us myto make sure it was safe. The police thanked him and gave us all water because of the tear gas. Not even 30 minutes later this shooting happened.
He was on foot walking to another body shop owned by the same owner because they had heard cars being broken into. He saw a group of males setting fires to cars. He yelled at the men to get away, the man who you saw get shot in the head jumped him with another guy and threw a molotov cocktail at Kyle. Kyle sht in self defense and then ran. Then he got jumped by more protestors and he shot them also. All self defense! He wasn’t there to loot, riot, or hurt anyone. And instead of running, hiding, he turned himself in! And is now facing first degree intentional homicide! He was there defending a business! He cared enough to keep us safe that night! He is a hero in my book!

My understanding is that they're prosecuting Kyle as an adult AND charging him for being under age for possession of the rifle.

Base on the video compilations that have been shared online so far, if Kyle is found guilty on anything other than the possession charge, the 2A is dead as we know it. If the looters and arsonists destroying communities can operate with impunity and a person can't defend himself from attackers during the chaos, we're done. We had a good run, but giving the mob the right to destroy what they want and prosecuting citizens who defend themselves means it's game over.
