  • Looks like a random sample testing of Cali residents is showing actual infections to be between 50X and 85X the known cases, which is very similar to the Massachusetts sewage analysis findings. This just pushes the mortality rate even lower.

      Mark Jennings :
?3 of us at home all got virus. Took 3 weeks to get the all clear. We all had minor symptoms. Super contagious. If you breathe someone’s breath you will become infected.

          • Plot twist:

            https://townhall.com/columnists/marinamedvin/2020/04/21/israeli-professor-debunks-government-claims-that-lockdowns-slow-coronavirus-infection-proves-worldwide-decline-in-spread-n2567291

Professor Ben-Israel began the analysis to find out whether the hypothesized coronavirus exponential growth rate is accurate. His research proved the answer is no. But aside from proving that the infection rate was not exponential in Israel, or anywhere else in the world, his investigation showed "a global phenomenon" of infection rate decline as opposed to exponential growth. "The spread of the virus starts at an exponential rate, however, it continues to moderate and ultimately fades after 8 weeks or so since its outbreak," Professor Ben-Israel explains.

"It is interesting to note," he writes, "that this pattern, mainly the onset rapid growth and the following decline in the number of new daily patients, is still shared amongst countries that responded in significantly different ways." He demonstrates this point by comparing infection rates in Italy, a country that imposed a complete lockdown, with Sweden, which did not.

          • Children might not be Covid vectors after all?

            https://www.theage.com.au/world/euro...30-p54ohi.html

While experts insist that more evidence is needed, they note there has not been a single case of a child under 10 transmitting the virus, even in contact tracing carried out by the World Health Organisation (WHO).

Public health officials in Switzerland have announced that under-10s can hug their grandparents again because they pose them no risk.

Now a review in partnership with the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (RCPCH) has found the evidence "consistently demonstrates reduced infection and infectivity of children in the transmission chain".

Led by Dr Alasdair Munro, a clinical research fellow in paediatric infectious diseases, the research concluded: "COVID-19 appears to affect children less often, and with less severity, including frequent asymptomatic or subclinical infection. There is evidence of critical illness, but it is rare.

"The role of children in transmission is unclear, but it seems likely they do not play a significant role."

The review by the Don't Forget the Bubbles paediatric research project added: "Notably, the China/WHO joint commission could not recall episodes during contact tracing where transmission occurred from a child to an adult."

Among the evidence is a study of a nine-year-old British boy who contracted coronavirus in the French Alps but did not pass it on, despite having contact with more than 170 people at three schools.

The boy, who was among the cases linked to Steve Walsh, the first Briton to test positive, also had influenza and a common cold which he passed to both of his siblings, but neither picked up COVID-19.

Kostas Danis, an epidemiologist at Public Health France who carried out that study, said the fact that children developed a milder form of the diseases may explain why they did not transmit the virus.

While he said that it was possible children could infect others, there had not been a case to date and there was "no evidence that closing schools is an effective measure". Further evidence from China showed when families had contracted the virus, children were "unlikely to be the index case".

                https://www.foxnews.com/us/coronavir...murder-suicide

The biology department at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine is in mourning after the shooting death of a scientist who it says was studying the biological makeup of the coronavirus and was on the “verge of making very significant findings toward understanding” the disease.

Bing Liu, 37, a research assistant professor, was shot dead Saturday in his suburban Pittsburgh home. He allegedly knew his killer, a man who walked to his car after the shooting and killed himself, according to reports.

Liu's research centers on computational systems biology, and apparently his coronavirus research was leading to breakthroughs.

                • Some good news:

                  https://www.foxnews.com/science/reco...not-reinfected

More than 260 COVID-19 patients in South Korea tested positive for the coronavirus after having recovered, raising alarm that the virus might be capable of "reactivating" or infecting people more than once. But infectious disease experts now say both are unlikely.

Rather, the method used to detect the coronavirus, called, cannot distinguish between genetic material (RNA or DNA) from infectious virus and the "dead" virus fragments that can linger in the body long after a person recovers, Dr. Oh Myoung-don, a Seoul National University Hospital doctor, said at a news briefing Thursday (April 30), according to The Korea Herald.
Reports of patients testing positive twice aren't limited to South Korea; they have also poured in from other countries, including China and Japan. But the general consensus in the scientific community — with all the information available to date on the new coronavirus — is that people aren't being reinfected, but rather falsely testing positive, Reiss said.

What's more, "the process in which COVID-19 produces a new virus takes place only in host cells and does not infiltrate the nucleus," or the very core of the cell, Oh said during the briefing, the Herald reported. Here's why: Some viruses, such as the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) and the chickenpox virus, can integrate themselves into the host genome by making their way into the nucleus of human cells, where they can stay latent for years and then "reactivate." But the coronavirus is not one of those viruses and instead it stays outside of the host cell's nucleus, before quickly bursting out and infiltrating the next cell, Reiss said.

                    • an interesting reply to 'plandemic' that i copied from her facebook. there are some replies to her as it appears her employer allegedly stands to make money from the vaccines and possibly has been funded by Fauci and/or his associations in the recent past. but those replies keep getting ganked so i don't have any of them to share unfortunately.

                      From Meagan Helmick PhD:

STOP sharing the Plandemic video. Judy Mikovits was forced to retract her article in Science because she lied and misrepresented her data. SHE is the fraud, not Dr. Fauci. Do research (and I mean actual research, not just googling and watching YouTube videos), and then share that information. She offers no actual proof of her allegations, she is just promoting misinformation. Why is it that people who have been shown to be liars are the videos you continue to share, but people who have spent years researching the topic (actual evidence-based scientific research) are the ones that are all "lying" to us? Why do you choose to believe the unlikely over the likely?

                      https://www.nature.com/news/2011/111....2011.574.html

Edit: I’m adding the link to the article that Science retracted because I understand that a news article may give people pause about the legitimacy of it. https://science.sciencemag.org/content/334/6063/1636.1

First, NO ONE IS PUSHING FOR MANDATORY VACCINES. If they were you all would have all your vaccines including the flu shot every year--but guess what, most of you aren't up to date on your vaccines. STOP the fear mongering. Vaccines don't kill millions of people every year--infectious diseases do. Even if a vaccine is developed and approved, it will likely not be mandatory--at least not from the government.

The same people sharing this video and having an issue with individuals owning a patent are the same people that want the economy to open back up because "Capitalism". Well guess what? Part of capitalism is that individuals can own patents and profit from them. You can't have it both ways. Your arguments are inconsistent at best and dangerous at worst. STOP.

Just because the video says that the NIAID (which they equate to Dr. Fauci) isn't being honest, doesn't mean it's true. Why would this research be published in the journal Nature and the NIAID do a press release about it if they were trying to hide it? Just because you don't stay informed on virology and new viruses discovered until there’s a pandemic, doesn't mean they're hiding things. This is the article in Nature: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/29618817 and here is the press release: https://www.niaid.nih.gov/news-event...es-young-swine

Additionally, here are two webpages that show the relationship between the NIAID and China--again, not trying to hide it from anyone, you just have to actually look up the information and not believe a YouTube video. https://www.niaid.nih.gov/research/niaid-research-china https://www.niaid.nih.gov/research/u...search-program

The reason medical examiners are being told to list Covid-19 on the death certificates is NOT because they’re trying to inflate the numbers, it’s because the response by our government to increase testing has been so poor, that it isn’t possible to test all the people who may have contracted the illness. Additionally, if you had COPD (or CF) and you were stable, and then came into the hospital and died because of ARDS, it is likely that the contributing disease to your death was Covid-19. Saying that they can’t count it as a death is asinine. The doctors know (or should know) this is also how flu deaths are reported. Most people who contract the flu and die, don’t die directly from the flu, they die from pneumonia caused by the flu.

The claim that doctors are being incentivized to say their patients have Covid-19 is incorrect. The hospitals receive the money from Medicare, NOT the doctor. These are payments that Medicare has agreed to pay for patients with those diagnoses. The 20% add-on is part of the CARES Act—you know the same Act that allowed you to get your stimulus check. So how about you don’t demonize hospitals for receiving funds to treat people when you happily accepted your money from the government? https://www.aha.org/advisory/2020-04...act-provisions

The claim that Italy was hit harder and suffered worse because they received a vaccine with the H1N1 strand is again a misrepresentation. Believe it or not, the trivalent (3 strands) flu vaccine that we have been getting for years has the H1N1 (influenza A) in it. https://www.cdc.gov/flu/prevent/quadrivalent.htm

The article she talks about at the end about the influenza vaccine from 2017-2018 increasing your odds of getting coronavirus is true—that is what it found, but it didn’t look at THIS strand, and as I’m sure you know the family of coronaviruses has been around for years. But the article also says that a previous article found no association between the flu vaccine and the coronavirus. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC7107973/

Hydroxychloroquine is a great option for certain patients, but it has side effects. It is anecdotal (based on personal accounts rather than facts or research) if there hasn’t been a scientific study to determine if it is effective. Dr. Fauci isn’t saying it’s not a possible treatment, but you all will be calling for his head if he said “Everyone take Hydroxychloroquine” and then you found out that there was a better treatment or the medicine caused worse side effects—particularly with the heart.

Before I step off my soap box, I want you to remember that there are people that will always try convince you that “they” are against you. These people will continue to stoke fear in people who choose to believe these videos and articles. Please, please, please, THINK before you share videos and articles.

True, but HPV isn't killing millions of people either.

The same sort of case can be made about COVID though. There are infectious diseases out there that kill way more people than COVID is likely to kill, but they don't get the attention because they're not as big a deal in 1st world countries and because the media isn't hyping them.

How is the a refutation of the claim? If the doctors are being paid by the hospital, and the hospital is getting paid for COVID patients, it's not hard to see how there might be some financial pressure. What hospital operates without any bean counters and non-doctor administrators who are concerned about the bottom line? When you've got so many hospitals across the country in financial distress because they had to cancel all 'non-essential' procedures, I can almost sympathize with them for trying to get as much money for COVID as possible. The problem is the taxpayers are getting screwed both ways in this debacle.
