Let me ask you this question..... Do you want the book to learn the theory or do you just want to pass the test and learn the rest at your own pace? I can find you a ton of links to information. Also if things haven't changed here in Rochester you can take the test and get license for free. I will actually probably find my links I posted somewhere on here and add it to this post.

This is what I personally did lol....... I am the type who loves to research stuff but also loves instant gratification. I went with the take and pass all 3 tests at once.

Here is how I did it...... Read only the correct answers for EVERY possible question for the first test. Then I took practice test and the answer that looked familiar was probably the right one because I only read the right answers. Once I kept getting the 90+% each time on practice test I did the same for next test. I would then take both tests over and over again until I got 90+% on both. Then I would do same for 3rd test and practice all 3 while getting 90+% on each and I took the practice tests until I walked into exam room and passed all 3 and surprised the examiners lol.

My reasoning was is that I research stuff before I do it. So by taking all 3 tests I wouldn't have to wait till the next test to operate on extra frequencies. Plus you would be surprised what you actually learn doing this.

Oh and once you get your license I will help you getting your first radio programmed. Who knows if you actually do it then you could win the Karma where I will give you a preprogrammed Radio for local repeaters. Check out my prepper karma if you haven't already.
