  • Hardened Power Systems MK1 Cadet Portable Power Station

    Pricey but looks interesting and seems well built. Anybody have any experience with this company or product?

    Specifications for the Cadet MK1 Portable Power Station:
    • The Cadet is 9.25″ long, 4.75″ wide, and 3.25″ tall
    • Weight, with the included battery, is 3 lbs, 15 oz.
    • 120 Watt Hour LiFePo4 Battery Bank (10 AH @ 12.8 VDC)
    • Real-time, multi-mode power monitor. See min, max, and cumulative values of amps, volts, and watts.
    • Front panel is canted slightly upwards, providing an improved viewing angle.
    • Internal 5 amp charge controller. Three stage, automatic. Will bulk, taper, and float the battery bank as needed. Use the included worldwide AC wall charger or any DC source from 15 volts to 20 volts.
    • Internal 5 amp solar controller. Three stage, automatic. Will bulk, taper, and float the battery bank as needed. Will accept up to a 60 watt of solar panel. Our 27 watt folding panel will fully charge the Cadet in about 5 hours of sunlight.
    • Two USB power ports, each an independent power supply, each delivering up to 3 amps.
    • Integrated 3X Power Pole distribution block, with a 20A max distributed rating.
    • Single front-mounted Power Pole, delivering up to 40 amps.
    • Single rear-mounted Power Pole, delivering up to 40 amps.
    • Charging indicator on the rear confirms charging is occurring.
    • Beefy rubber feet to provide a non-slip grip and allow airflow.
    • Cast stainless steel eye straps protect the front from drops and provide a secure attachment for a strap, handle, tag, or other use.

    Never heard of them. What kind of battery is it? Lithium-Ion? I don't see where it says.

    I can still find a use for my thumb, even though it no longer has a hole to finger.

        Scratch that LiFePO4 in third bullet above. I have a 10Ah pack with built in charger already wonder if it's same thing without the case, display and connectors?

          Ahh, got it now. I thought the LiFePo4 was just some kind of name for the battery. It stands for lithium iron phosphate.

              What do you want to know LMAO, I have dealt with this company in past and personally wouldn't recommend them. It looks fancy but it usually cobbled together on inside and in my case bad soldering. I had horrible customer service experience as well with them.

                  Yup same one. The have machine that makes those fancy face plates and the innards are different regular parts you buy soldered together. I'm sure you can make something better for cheaper.
