I actually power walk every day for 1 to 1.5 hrs. Some weekends I do 8-15 miles depending on time available.

Listen Mr. Metric McFancypants. There are only two kinds of countries on this planet; those that use the metric system, and those that have put a man on the moon.

Although data was stored internally in metric units, they were displayed as United States customary units.

To somewhat parallel Meke's thinking, I believe you have a short window of opportunity to bug out and get home taking advantage of any means of transportation still available and the good nature of the average person. I would find a way to get home depending on the weather of course. If I had to walk 10 to 12 hours, that would suck but it probably wouldn't kill me. After a day or two when news starts to spread and people realize the world of PePeshittata we're about to enter I think your risk goes up exponentially. I'd rather be home and dug in by then.Last edited by Calculon; 09-28-2017, 11:43 AM.Ok I can go a couple ways

No idea how the different factors related to an EMP attack would influence everyone. Depending on your location compared to ground zero in an EMP, cars may or may not work, and you could have transformers blowing up and buildings starting on fire from the electrical surges. I'm hoping that my impression that New York will be a ways away from the epicenter is a correct one.
